Staying in a central hotel? Your guide collects you on foot from the lobby instead, and from a hotel farther out you ride the metro or tram in together. Start with a fluitje, the small Dutch glass of beer, and a bite of Dutch cheese, meet your guide, and ease into Amsterdam's drinking culture before heading into the old city.

   Continue through tucked-away streets and hidden corners around the old center. This part of the walk adds atmosphere: quiet alleys, historic facades, and the kind of details most visitors miss when they stay on the main streets.

   Dam Square and medieval Amsterdam

   Pass by

   Brouwerij de Prael

   Tasting

   Finish at De Prael, a beer house in the Wallen with a strong social mission. Taste your last 2 small craft beers with 2 mini cheese souffles and end the tour in the old center, close to the Red Light District, Dam Square, and Central Station.
