We keep this simple. Some cookies are needed to run the site, and you get those by default. Others, the ones that measure how the site is used and how our ads perform, only get set if you press Accept in our cookie banner. Until you accept, they stay off.
Always on (needed to run the site)
FareHarbor (booking)
FareHarbor runs our online booking. When you open the booking window or book a tour, FareHarbor sets cookies that hold your reservation while you complete it and keep the checkout secure. Without these, you cannot book online. FareHarbor's own cookie notice is at fareharbor.com/cookie-policy.
Trustindex (reviews)
Trustindex displays the guest reviews you see on our pages, pulled from platforms like Tripadvisor and Google. The widget may store small technical files in your browser so the reviews load and display correctly. It is there to show reviews, not to track you across the web.
Only after you accept
Google Analytics 4 (analytics)
We use Google Analytics 4 to see which pages people visit and how they
find us, so we can improve the site. It loads through Google Tag Manager
and sets analytics cookies (such as _ga). These are set only
if you accept analytics cookies in the banner. If you reject, Google
Analytics sets no cookies.
Google Ads (marketing)
We run ads on Google. Google Ads measures which visits came from an ad and whether they led to an enquiry, so we do not waste money on ads that do not work. It also loads through Google Tag Manager and sets marketing cookies, again only if you accept marketing cookies in the banner.
YouTube (one video, only if you play it)
One tour page has an embedded video. It uses YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode and loads nothing from YouTube until you press play. If you play the video, YouTube may set cookies under Google's privacy policy. If you never press play, YouTube never loads.
How your choice is handled
When you first visit, everything except the necessary cookies is switched off. The banner lets you Accept all, Reject all, or open Manage to turn analytics and marketing on or off separately. We remember your choice so we do not ask again on every visit. We also keep a privacy-friendly, cookieless visit count through Cloudflare Web Analytics, which needs no consent and tracks no individuals.
Changing your mind
You can change your choice any time. Click Cookie settings in the footer at the bottom of any page to reopen the banner. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block the FareHarbor cookies, online booking will not work, but you can always book by email or phone instead.
